The vision for the product exists but with no project lead or direction, momentum is waning as the enhancements and new development tasks began to pile up. This start-up needs a jumpstart.

With no project management strategy or processes in place to ensure work is completed correctly or efficiently, the company is stuck in neutral with no real visibility into the “who, what, when, why, or how” of their user-facing mobile and web applications. With the team distributed across multiple time zones and the recent departure of two project managers, the start-up is in immediate need for project leadership and product direction.

 

The Goal

Take the company out of neutral and into the fast lane by implementing a project methodology utilizing agile principles tailored to the needs of this fast-growing start-up. The new framework will not only produce results quickly now, but also lay the foundation for all developmental cycles going forward.

The End Result

A current-state analysis of the business and its needs that led to the development and implementation of a clearly defined project management framework that all resources—both technical and functional—are now trained on and adhering to. Clear and concise documentation of user-stories, testing procedures, and business requirement definitions in their Jira board to increase visibility to what needs to be done. We provided Scrum Master leadership and consulting, overseeing all agile-related meetings, including frequent and in-depth knowledge transfer to ensure future success with the process. And finally, a gear-shift into drive with tangible results measured through successful and consistent deployments.
